NCSCA 29th Annual Luncheon

At the 29th Annual Luncheon of the North Carolina Senior Citizens Association old friends were glad to see each other and catch up on the news.

Dennis Streets was congratulated as the new director of the Division of Aging; Mary Bethel now with AARP was greeting old friends, Patty McQuillan, Ann Johnson, Doris Dick, Joseph Kelly, Margo Raynor, Thelma Chadwick and Betty Wiser were all renewing friendships.

And the highlight of the luncheon was the speaker Dr. Dan Blazer. Dr. Blazer, an MD and PhD, a J.P. Gibbons Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine was a representative to the White House Conference on Aging in 2005. The White House Conference goal was to help set policy in aging for the next ten years.
